Welcome to ULC!
University Lutheran Church is a place of simple but profound welcome, because we understand that this is the desire and command of our Lord Christ. His first word to all of us is welcome, follow, come to me — His last bidding to each of us is to welcome any and all who we meet along the way of life, to welcome them to the water and way of Life. It is just that simple and yet just that crucial to who we are. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America that worships and has our life together on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. That makes us and our mission very unique — we have the purpose in our gathering to be a Body of Christ for the world, for our community, and specifically for the student body on campus. Everything we do is consistent with that one vision, that one purpose; we order our every action and intent by the one guiding principle that you are welcomed by the Christ first and last, and so you are welcomed by us always in everything.
We worship and celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings in the Ecumenical Religious Center on the lower campus; during the academic year, we also worship on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. with a free meal beforehand at 5:45 p.m. We would love to have you join us. We also come together on Wednesday mornings at 8 a.m. for Bibles and Bagels and lots of wonderful conversation.
University Lutheran has been given the immeasurable honor and responsibility of being a congregation on a college campus. We have been given a hope and message and a place we can worship and talk together of life and faith and how that hope connects all of these. We are much blessed here and invite you to join in us that blessing.
